About the school

"Normal" Piotr Jafernik operated from 1999 out of Aleksandrowice airfield in Bielsko-Biała (EPBA). The company ran tourist and commercial pilot training — fixed-wing (PPL(A), CPL(A)) and helicopter (PPL(H), CPL(H)) — alongside a certified (Part 145) maintenance shop and a continuing-airworthiness-management (CAMO) organisation for a fleet of roughly 25 aircraft, including Cessna airplanes and Enstrom, Eurocopter and Bell helicopters. Its website has been offline since around 2021 — this description is drawn from archived versions of the site.

Note

Besides flight training (ATO certificate PL/ATO-5), the company separately ran a certified Part 145 maintenance station (PL.145.029) and a CAMO continuing-airworthiness organisation (PL.MG.515) for a fleet of about 25 aircraft of types Cessna 152/172/206, Enstrom 280FX/280C/F-28F, Eurocopter EC120B/EC130B4, Bell 206B and Piper PA-31 (the maintenance approval scope — not necessarily the same as the training fleet). A nav item "Usługi lotnicze" (aviation services, potentially charter/AOC) was marked "w przygotowaniu" (under construction) in the 2021 archived site — no confirmed charter offering.

What this means for you

An ATO holds a full ULC certificate covering the whole training range — from basic licences to commercial and instructor ratings. These are the broadest-scope schools, often with their own fleet and simulators (FNPT/FSTD).
