Aeroklub Gliwicki is a long-established, independent flying club based at Gliwice airfield (EPGL), running theoretical and practical training in both airplanes (LAPL(A), PPL(A) and additional ratings) and gliders (SPL and additional ratings), alongside separate skydiving, microlight and model-aircraft sections. The club has around 170 active members.

Per the club's own site (as of 6 Aug 2026): PPL(A)/LAPL(A) ground-school course — 3,300 PLN; practical training PPL(A) — 45,500 PLN, LAPL(A) — 30,500 PLN. SPL ground-school course — 2,200 PLN; practical training: winch launches — 7,500 PLN (55 launches) or aerotow — 14,200 PLN (35 flights). Training at AGL requires club membership: entrance fee 2,200 PLN (aircraft section) or 1,600 PLN (glider section) — 50% off for candidates who started basic training within the last year — plus dues of roughly 58.50–65 PLN/month (50% off for students under 25 paying annually). The club's own rental price list (samoloty/cennik, szybowce/cennik) is an image dated 21 Feb 2020 — too outdated to quote specific rental rates from.

What this means for you
A DTO is a lighter-weight form of training organisation, declared to ULC without full ATO certification. For a PPL(A) candidate it leads to exactly the same licence — DTOs are usually narrower in scope (e.g. PPL/LAPL only) and are often a cheaper, local option.
