Note

The site also mentions the ability to arrange an LKE examiner for renewing existing ratings (this is about renewals, not explicitly the course's final exam), and that time-to-licence depends heavily on training pace (intensive vs. weekend).

What this means for you

A DTO is a lighter-weight form of training organisation, declared to ULC without full ATO certification. For a PPL(A) candidate it leads to exactly the same licence — DTOs are usually narrower in scope (e.g. PPL/LAPL only) and are often a cheaper, local option.
