About the school

Aeroklub Radomski has operated from Lotnisko Piastów near Radom (Jedlińsk) since 1946, tracing back to a pre-war Aviation Circle at the local arms factory. It has repeatedly hosted World and European aerobatic championships in both powered and glider aerobatics. It runs certified theory training (in-person, typically over winter) and practical training toward the SPL/LAPL(S) glider licences — on the dual-seat Bocian and Puchacz, with further training on the Pirat, Junior, Astir Jeans and Astir CS — and toward the PPL(A)/LAPL(A) aeroplane licences on a Cessna 152 and a PZL-150 Koliber, with a separate two-seat Extra 300 for aerobatic training and a PZL-104 Wilga for glider-towing and proficiency flying. The practical exam may take place, in part or in full, at the club's own airfield.

The archived price page (September 2023) listed training fees, but at 2.5+ years old — against a backdrop of significant fuel- and training-cost volatility — they are likely stale and were deliberately not quoted here.

What this means for you

A DTO is a lighter-weight form of training organisation, declared to ULC without full ATO certification. For a PPL(A) candidate it leads to exactly the same licence — DTOs are usually narrower in scope (e.g. PPL/LAPL only) and are often a cheaper, local option.
