About the school

SKYWINGS is a Declared Training Organisation (DTO) based at Masłów airfield near Kielce (EPKA), founded by aviation enthusiasts long connected to the field. It runs a small, intimate training centre for the LAPL(A) and PPL(A) licences and the VFR Night rating, plus skill refresher training and hour-building. The airfield has a paved, lit runway, allowing flying in practically all seasons. The school operates 2 Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee aircraft with 8 instructors.

What this means for you

A DTO is a lighter-weight form of training organisation, declared to ULC without full ATO certification. For a PPL(A) candidate it leads to exactly the same licence — DTOs are usually narrower in scope (e.g. PPL/LAPL only) and are often a cheaper, local option.
