About the school

Aeroklub Kielecki also runs glider training — towards the SPL licence (from age 14), additional launch methods under SFCL.155 (winch, aerotow), and FI(S) glider-instructor training and refresher courses. The club's glider fleet runs to more than a dozen SZD-type gliders (including the Puchacz, Pirat, Junior, Jantar Standard 3, Cobra and Bocian), based at Lotnisko Masłów near Kielce.

Per the site's price list, in force from 1 Jan 2026 (glider training): SPL theory course 1399 PLN. Practical package: winch launches (60-launch limit) 5099 PLN (80 PLN per extra launch beyond the limit), aerotow launches (40-launch limit) 9600 PLN (195 PLN per extra launch). Per-launch fees: winch 33 PLN (56 PLN for associate members), aerotow up to 300 m circuit height 125 PLN + 23 PLN per additional 100 m (associate members: 144 PLN + 33 PLN). Glider rental (licensed members): 90 PLN/h, training flights 120 PLN/h, a 1-hour flight 168 PLN. Unlimited training package (licensed members): 4300 PLN.

What this means for you

A DTO is a lighter-weight form of training organisation, declared to ULC without full ATO certification. For a PPL(A) candidate it leads to exactly the same licence — DTOs are usually narrower in scope (e.g. PPL/LAPL only) and are often a cheaper, local option.
