About the school

Aeroklub Ziemi Pilskiej is a flying club active since 1979 (first as a branch of Aeroklub Bydgoski, then from 1990 as its own local unit of Aeroklub Polski). It runs four specialty sections — model flying, paragliding, gliding and powered flight — with its glider and airplane training based at Lądowisko Piła (EPPI), an airfield it registered in 2012.

Indicative price

Per the site's price list (in effect from 8 Jan 2026): a one-off club joining fee of 200 PLN (50 PLN reduced) plus membership dues of 70 PLN/month (65 PLN for supporting members; reduced rates for under-26s — 35/32.50 PLN), or a single annual payment of 700 PLN (600 PLN supporting, 350/300 PLN reduced) — these are MEMBERSHIP fees required regardless of course. On top of that, training: a PPL(A)/LAPL(A) flight hour on the Cessna 152 runs approx. 750–780 PLN, on the Cessna 172P approx. 885–915 PLN (rate depends on membership status); the site also quotes an estimated full PPL(A) course cost "from 33,750 PLN". The glider (SPL) course: 1,000 PLN for the shortened theory course plus 5 flights, then a package of roughly 70 flights for 4,200 PLN. Introductory flights: from 239 PLN in a glider, from 349 PLN in a Cessna 152.

What this means for you

A DTO is a lighter-weight form of training organisation, declared to ULC without full ATO certification. For a PPL(A) candidate it leads to exactly the same licence — DTOs are usually narrower in scope (e.g. PPL/LAPL only) and are often a cheaper, local option.
