About the school

The Aviation Training Centre (OKL) of Rzeszów University of Technology is a non-faculty university unit operating since 1 April 1990, based at Rzeszów airfield (EPRJ) in Jasionka, inside the CTR of Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport (EPRZ). It covers four certified divisions: ATO (flight training), AMO (aircraft maintenance), CAMO (continuing airworthiness management) and MTO (aircraft maintenance technician training). By its own site's account, OKL is the only flight training centre in Poland certified under Part-FCL to train in the integrated ATPL(A) system. Its fleet includes TB-9 Tampico, PA-28R-201 Arrow, Piper PA-34 Seneca V and Zlin Z-242L aircraft, plus two FNPT II-class flight simulators.

Note

The site does not state outright who may currently enrol. The /szkolenia/ page says "the centre's main activity stream is training Rzeszów University of Technology's own pilot-specialisation students towards a 'frozen' ATPL(A) licence" — i.e. the primary stream is the university's own integrated-programme students. The history page notes that in the past "training of pilots outside the student body also began, mainly from Medical Aviation [LPR] and Aviation Services enterprises", but no current page (including the empty /studenci/informacje-dla-studentow/ template and the recent news list) confirms whether outside enrolment for a single rating (e.g. a standalone PPL(A)) is open today — the ULC register lists PPL(A) as a separate scope alongside CPL/ATPL/FI/IR/MCC/CRI/MEP/NIGHT/AEROBATIC. Anyone wanting to know whether outside enrolment is possible needs to ask directly (secretariat +48 17 743 27 16).

What this means for you

An ATO holds a full ULC certificate covering the whole training range — from basic licences to commercial and instructor ratings. These are the broadest-scope schools, often with their own fleet and simulators (FNPT/FSTD).
