About the school

Ośrodek Kształcenia Lotniczego AVIO runs training for the LAPL(A) and PPL(A) licences (including an extended PPL(A) Plus package) and a VFR night rating, plus UAPL (microlight) and UAVO (drone, VLOS and BVLOS operations) courses. It also offers scenic flights and aircraft rental for hour-building.

Per the site (as of 6 Aug 2026): PPL(A)/LAPL(A) e-learning theory 1599 PLN gross (/plans-pricing page), in-person theory 3075 PLN (/teoria page); the /szkolenie-lotnicze-ppla page states a different theory figure - 1000 PLN ("the cost of theory is fixed at 1000 PLN") - the pages disagree with each other, so both numbers are quoted as given. PPL(A) practical training: at the minimum required hours the price should not exceed 30,000 PLN. 23% VAT is added to the PPL(A) course price.

Practical PPL(A)/LAPL(A) training runs at controlled and uncontrolled airfields across southern Poland, with the location depending on the current intake (the site does not name a single base, so baseAerodrome was left unset). In-person theory classes are held in Warsaw, Radom, Lublin, Rzeszów and Krosno. The contact address on the site is ul. Grzybowska 87, 00-844 Warsaw - different from this row's ULC register address (Lotnisko Jasionka 948, Jasionka); Rzeszów/Jasionka appears on the site only as one of the theory-class cities, not as a named home aerodrome.

What this means for you

A DTO is a lighter-weight form of training organisation, declared to ULC without full ATO certification. For a PPL(A) candidate it leads to exactly the same licence — DTOs are usually narrower in scope (e.g. PPL/LAPL only) and are often a cheaper, local option.
