About the school

Pomorska Szkoła Szybowcowa (formally the Foundation for the Promotion and Development of Aviation Ideas – Pomeranian Gliding School) has operated as a flight training organisation since 2022. It is a member of Aeroklub Polski and holds a sports-club licence for gliding and aerobatics. It offers the full gliding training path — from intro flights, through SPL licence training, to cross-country and competition flying — and is also active in promoting the sport through media and school outreach.

Flights are usually launched by winch or car-tow from Borsk airfield; other launch locations are possible for cross-country and competition flights.

What this means for you

A DTO is a lighter-weight form of training organisation, declared to ULC without full ATO certification. For a PPL(A) candidate it leads to exactly the same licence — DTOs are usually narrower in scope (e.g. PPL/LAPL only) and are often a cheaper, local option.
