What the PPL(A) theory exam looks like
2026-05-20
The PPL(A) private pilot licence theory exam is one of the first milestones on the way to becoming a pilot. In Poland it is administered by the Civil Aviation Authority (ULC).
What the exam covers
The exam spans 9 subjects — from air law, through meteorology, to navigation. Each subject is sat separately, and questions are multiple-choice.
Question format
Questions are closed: for each one you pick a single correct answer from several options. To pass a subject you must reach the required score threshold.
How to prepare
The best results come from regular study combined with practising test questions under conditions close to the real exam. That's exactly why we built Pilot Test Zone — with a question bank and a mock-exam mode.
